Now I ask this question in all seriousness. When my brother and I were at our last seminar that we were doing we asked everyone in the audience if they would trade $440 for $45,656.00. Guess what happened? You are right everyone raised their hand and said without a doubt they would do it. Of course who wouldn’t do it. Yet when real estate professionals are faced with whether to spend money or not on pay per click advertising they often decide it isn’t worth their time or their money to invest in that kind of advertising for a variety of reasons.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Many of those reasons are as follows:&lt;br /&gt;Fear of failure&lt;br /&gt;Fear of going broke&lt;br /&gt;Fear of trying&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Today I thought I would highlight a real example from a real estate pay per click campaign that my brother and I have been running for just over 14 months. Now to be honest the page that this ad has been directing to has generated over $96,893 in commissions from a single page in 14 months.&lt;br /&gt;So let’s look at what the stats mean and talk about how you can create this for yourself. The screen shot is taken from a single Google Adgroup that my brother and I haveen running and it goes directly to a single page (not the home page). This page gives the user some very useful information and makes multiple calls to action to request the visitor to either register, call, or look at the MLS for more information. As you can see from the screen shot it has registered 55 conversions over that time frame and from the conversion tracking (done with Google’s conversion tool) you can see each lead costs $8. Now obviously every lead didn’t work but we did generate well over $45,000 in commissions from spending just slightly over $440! This is the beauty of pay per click. We controlled exactly what word, exactly what page they went to, and created a predictable result from it. You too can do this. I am not saying you should only do pay per click but you should make it a piece of your online marketing strategy. In fact you should do both SEO and Pay Per Click. There is no silver bullet that you can use that will enable you to start closing escrows in the next hour.  It won't take long though with online advertising as you can see results in just hours!&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;I don't know where to start&lt;/strong&gt; - This is probably the one that is the toughest to overcome.  It can seem overwhelming to think about starting a new blog, website, or delve into online advertising.  It is possible to succeed, sometimes you just need to be pointed in the right direction.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ol&gt;&lt;p&gt;So how do you overcome these obstacles? It's not one that I originally anticipated a we have been using it for years and found it very economical to use. The fear is:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;&lt;p align="center"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:180%;"&gt;“I don't want to use &lt;a href="http://www.onlinerealestatesuccess.com/adwords/"&gt;Google Adwords &lt;/a&gt;because it's too expensive.”&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This just blew me away. These were the very same individuals who would spend $500 sending out flyers to their neighborhood and in the same month spend $550 for a full page magazine ad, but they were telling me that Google Adwords was too expensive? I was just blown away at the perception that advertising online would be too expensive. So to help everyone reading to see that it isn't too expensive to advertise online, here are some tips to help break down those fears and get you started with success online.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ol&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Keyword Research&lt;/strong&gt; - Most people think it is expensive because they don't do enough research into the words in their area.  If you try to advertise in position #1 with "my area real estate" and leave your budget wide open then yes it will be expensive.  Take the time to research, using tools like &lt;a href="http://affiliate.wordtracker.com/r/699/a/136820/l/dk6rh2"&gt;WordTracker&lt;/a&gt;, so you can find out as many words as possible so you don't have to bid on the most expensive ones.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Set a Budget!&lt;/strong&gt; - Can't say this one enough.  Set a budget that you are comfortable with.  Know that you if you put $10/day Google will allow you to spend it!  You could start small at just $1/day if you want and it really does work.  We started our ads with just $50 a month so we could get the hang of it.  That's alot cheaper than a magazine ad :).&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Don't direct ads to your home page&lt;/strong&gt; - Your ads should be focused and the page they point to should be focused on what your ad was about.  Directing ads to your home page is a waste of money!  Take the time to create landing pages for each ad if you can and watch your leads soar.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ol&gt;&lt;p&gt;Taking the time to cover just these 3 tips will help you to see that using Google Adwords for your real estate pay per click can be an extremely cost effective way to generate leads for your business. I thought this was an interesting concept, but sadly misguided.  The real difference in a real estate website is the content that it offers.  The content that you provivde is what separates your website from the 1000's of other websites in your market.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Creating content doesn't have to be complicated.  In fact, it's probably the easiest because it is based off of the information that you already know.  I am always amazed at the fear that agents have about starting to create content because it really is just writing down the information that they already have in their heads!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Some items to write about when creating your &lt;a href="http://www.onlinerealestatesuccess.com/products_category_success_guides_content_system.shtml"&gt;real estate website content &lt;/a&gt;are:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Neighborhood Boundaries&lt;/strong&gt; - Not everyone knows what boundaries make up the neighborhoods.  Define the neighborhood and what types of homes exist in the neighborhood.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Architecture Styles&lt;/strong&gt; - There may be a dominant type of architecture, like Craftsman homes, in a particular area.  Write about these and put some great pictures up.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Turnover&lt;/strong&gt; - Discuss what the traditional turnover in the area is.  This can create a sense of urgency if turnover is low. :)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;p&gt;Creating real estate website content that is informational and has calls to action will help you to turn visitors into contacts! Everything from determining that the same IP address is clicking to the time that "person" stays on the landing page is taken into consideration.  So, don't worry!&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;It won't help you get any good leads&lt;/strong&gt; - Ah, the "good" lead vs. "bad" lead debate. Leads, are leads, are leads!  You might have 100 people through an open house and not 1 buy the house, but heaven forbid 100 visitors come to your website and none of them buy. Leads are as good as you envision them and with the right process to work them you will be closing deals in no time.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;I don't understand it&lt;/strong&gt; - Now this one I can sympathize with.  Both Google and Yahoo have put in some excellent wizards to help get you started.
